Months ago I fell in love with the Stendig wall calendar. Sadly, it sold out to my knowledge so I took to Amazon today to try to find a nice, simplistic, wall calendar for the house. I shit you not when I tell you Goats In Trees was the #2 result for me. This alone made me smile but then I dug into the reviews to gain insight into the quality of this calendar. I don’t spend 12 dollars all willy-nilly without a little research. The reviews are glowing.

It is comforting to know that somewhere in the world a goat is in a tree watching over us like Santa or Jesus. Goats are loving and merciful animals.

Very pleasant to look at. Goats on every page, as promised, though there are a few goats on the ground (the picture is more like a herd of goats overcoming a very sprawling tree). Good concept.

1996 was the best Christmas of my life.

The blizzard of ‘96 hit DC and gave us 200 consecutive days of school ( or maybe like 9). It so happened to fall on winter break which made it more like 206 days off. I constructively used my time at home to discover the fruit known as CLEMENTINES. My mom bought 3 crates of them and I just sat and CRUSHED THEM while playing Tomb Raider 2. My dad had a buddy that might as well have been Santa himself, if Santa was really into sticking it to the man and pirating shit. This guy managed to rent and copy every Playstation game Blockbuster had on tap. Then created a binder of 50 burned discs and passed it along to my dad who gave it to me and my sister. Then we all bonded over Duke Nukem. Awww.

I just had a clementine for lunch and now the smell of my hands is making me want to kill tigers on the Great Wall of China.
